Developing Digital Skills and Empowering Jordanian YouthDigiSkills Association Launches the “On-the-Job Training Grant Program” at the MENA ICT Forum

On the sidelines of the MENA ICT Forum, held at the Dead Sea on November 20–21, the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship, in collaboration with DigiSkills Association, announced the launch of the Digital Skills Development and Enhancement Grant Program. This pioneering initiative is part of the Youth, Technology, and Jobs Project.

The program aims to equip Jordanian youth and current employees with the digital skills needed to succeed in the rapidly evolving job market, fostering sustainable growth for Jordanian businesses in the digital age.

Designed to address unemployment challenges and promote workforce reskilling, the program offers grants of up to $300,000 each and focuses on three core areas:

Digital Empowerment and Employment Program: Provides unemployed Jordanian youth with practical skills aligned with job market demands.
Career Advancement Program: Supports current employees in achieving career progression within their organizations.
Job Retention Program: Assists employees at risk of job loss due to digital transformation by enabling their transition to new roles within their organizations.
All program components emphasize hands-on training in real workplace environments, ensuring that outcomes align closely with market needs through active collaboration with employers.

Dr. Nabeel Alfayoumi, Managing Director of DigiSkills Association, emphasized the significance of the initiative:
“This program reflects the association’s commitment to fostering a digitally skilled workforce while addressing critical unemployment challenges. By integrating the private sector into structured skill development initiatives, the grant aims to establish a sustainable framework for digital skills development in Jordan, driving economic growth and ensuring long-term career stability for participants.”
