Amman, Jordan – [Insert Date]: Digiskills Association (Digiskills) and The Information and Communications Technology Association of Jordan (Int@j) have signed a MoU to establish a strategic alliance aimed at bridging the gap between local and international labor demand and local labor supply through Jordanian IT companies. The partnership seeks to enhance the competitiveness of Jordan’s ICT sector by developing a robust ecosystem of digitally skilled professionals equipped to meet the evolving needs of global markets.
The MoU, signed by Dr. Nabil Al-Fayoumi, Managing Director of Digiskills, and Eng. Nidal Bitar, CEO of Int@j, outlines a comprehensive collaboration framework. This alliance will leverage the strengths of both organizations in advocacy, market intelligence, digital skills development, and talent management, supporting the shared vision of positioning Jordan as a leader in ICT in the region.
“We are excited about this partnership as it aligns with our mission to empower Jordanian youth and enhance their digital competencies,” said Al-Fayoumi, “Together, we will build a sustainable ecosystem that not only meets local market needs but also prepares our talent for global opportunities, contributing to Jordan’s economic growth and international reputation.”
“This strategic alliance marks a significant step towards aligning our efforts to create a sustainable and competitive ICT sector in Jordan,” said Bitar, “By working together, we can more effectively address the skills gap and provide our members with the resources they need to thrive in the global marketplace.”
The partnership will involve joint efforts to identify and analyze global IT trends, labor demands, and market opportunities, providing valuable insights that will guide the development of targeted upskilling programs by Digiskills. These programs will ensure that Jordanian professionals are equipped with the most in-demand skills, enhancing their employability in international markets and contributing to the overall growth of the sector.
Digiskills and Int@j will also collaborate in developing comprehensive concept notes and funding proposals for their initiatives. These proposals will outline the main ideas, objectives, and scope of each project, serving as foundational documents for engaging potential Donors and securing the necessary funding to drive impactful programs that align with Jordan’s development goals.
Engagement with government stakeholders will be a key aspect of this alliance. Both parties will work to align their initiatives with national priorities, securing the endorsement and support needed to successfully implement their programs. This collaboration will ensure that the projects contribute to Jordan’s strategic objectives, including economic development and job creation.
Furthermore, Digiskills and Int@j will work closely with ICT companies, accredited Training Service Providers (TSPs), universities, and international certification bodies to design training programs that meet global standards. This stakeholder collaboration will strengthen the competitive advantage of Jordanian IT companies by equipping professionals with high-demand skills, enabling them to compete effectively in both local and international markets.
Promotional activities will also play a crucial role in this partnership, with both organizations leveraging their platforms to position Jordan as a premier hub for digitally skilled talent. By participating in global tech events, executing online campaigns, and developing promotional materials, they aim to showcase the quality and availability of Jordanian IT professionals, attracting international employers and partners to the country.
In addition, the parties will explore opportunities for mutual sponsorship and participation in key industry events, conferences, and workshops organized by either organization. This will increase visibility for both Digiskills and Int@j, providing access to influential networks and enabling them to promote their initiatives more effectively. By coordinating their involvement, they aim to maximize impact, attract potential partners, and reinforce their joint commitment to advancing Jordan’s ICT sector.
The MoU is set to remain in effect for three years, with the potential for extension by mutual agreement. A joint committee will be established to oversee the implementation of the MoU, ensuring continuous alignment with the outlined objectives and exploring new opportunities to enhance the strategic alliance.
